So Ive been really busy recently as you guys can hopefully tell from the lack of post so here I am going to do a lazy catch up!

The much awaited Indiana Jones trailer is finally out! With them posting nothing but still images of their movie, its with a big relief we finally get to watch the trailer! Here it goes!

Writer’s Strike Finally Ends!
Title says it all. Thank god! But shows such as Chuck, 24 and some I cant remember would still be on hiatus for a while. However, expect shows such as Gossip Girl to be back on track soon.
Paris Hilton = Failure = Box Office Poison
Statistics show that the pathetic movie sold a very pathetic (even for her standards) $25, 500 in 111 locations over the weekend. Doing the math, only 29 customers went blind watching the movie at each location over the weekend (3days for those dumbasses who cant count).
I have decided to come out of my shell (shell being projects, work and tests) and do a entry here on the recent scandal in our region!
Explicit pictures of stars Edison Chen, Gillian Cheung from the twins and Bobo Chan (this ive no idea who) have surface onto the Internet. All 3 female actresses were at one point of time romantically linked to him. Currently, we have no assurance if the pictures are legit as it has been claimed to be digitally altered or the “stars” of the pictures were hired due to their similar looks to the 3 “victims”. My friend sent me the pictures and I mean it when i said “Explicit”.
So far the police have nabbed a number of the suspected uploaders who supposedly obtained the pictures from Edison Chen’s laptop when he sent it for repair. All suspects were or are working in computer related fields.
Edison Chen has released a public video response to the scandal, if I am not wrong he is currently somewhere in America.

I would have to say the movie looks pretty damn good! Straying away from typical heroics of Superheroes, this movie shows Hancock as a loser, who then gets in contact with a PR guy who wants to build his reputation back up. I can’t remember where I read that from so I cant exactly squeeze out any more information

To most people, they do not know the mass hype Cloverfield had before it was released. The genius, JJ Abrams released only a footage of the film (The one where a explosion happens and the statue of liberty’s head hits the street) during the premiere of the movie Transformers, the magic about it was by not releasing a title with it. Curiosity sparked, many movie goers went home to surprise surprise, searched for it on the Internet. The popularity of the untitled movie soared and they left it that way for a long while. Releasing small hints bit by bit about the movie piqued many people and it quickly gained a huge following. Employing viral marketing was a risky one, however they pulled it off so well by keeping it mysterious and releasing the right information at the perfect moment I knew it was bound to be a big hit.

Therefore it was no surprise that the low budget 25million movie is doing so well. Within a weekend, it earned 40+ million, recouping all losses and if I may say so itself, earns a high chance of having a sequel.
But I am sure most people who watched the movie got many questions. Lets delve into it! Please note though they are purely my speculation and due to the nature of the movie leaving most things to be decided by YOU yourself, it is open to discussion!
What is the monster and where does it come from?
Apparently in an interview, the man himself JJ Abrams stated that it is a “The concept for the monster is simple. He’s a baby. He’s brand-new. He’s confused, disoriented and irritable. And he’s been down there in the water for thousands and thousands of years.”. How do we know it is a deep sea monster? Well, I remember somewhere in the movie the first thing destroyed was a deep sea oil rig. So what is speculated is the drill dug so deep, it rose the creature from its slumber. You do the math, a giant creature poked by a drill and a whole lot of things to destroy.
Edit: Scouring online made me find this picture. It is said the fallen object is a fallen satellite and the story checked out with the man itself who added that that was the thing that disturbs his slumber and causes his fury. So probably the oil rig was the first target for destruction!
Strength and Armor?
Being a huge underwater creature, moving requires an immense amount of strength. Just picture yourself doing daily activities underwater, you know like the Gatorade advertisment where all the sports geeks dosports underwater. So yeah thats where the strength must come from, all the underwater exercise. The monster also seem to show extremely strong armor by taking hits from carpet bombs, RPGs etc like it was another day in the office. Similarly, by living under such great depths, the pressure is insurmountably large. If his hide can take that pressure, the weapons employed against it must feel like a blow from a science geek. Which is nothing.
How did Marlene die?
By receiving bites from the small parasites (do take note the others only gets scratched and not bitten), it is “assumed” that her chest expanded and blew open like a bubble gum. If you take notice in one scene where they entered the make shift medical center, the soldiers were carrying away a dead guy in a stretcher and his chest showed signs of exploding. What I guess is when you are bitten, they inject some sort of crap into you which makes you blow up. They took her into a tent probably so that she can explode and not “spread” it to anyone else. Unless you have some extremely bad observational skills and ask “then wont the doctor in the tent with her get infected?”. The doctor there was wearing some kind of astronaut suit, so I think it highly likely he is safe. Please note though this is purely my speculation and there maybe other reasons to it, if you got one feel free to comment it

Cool Information
Hud actually got severed into half. As part of their viral marketing, Hud’s myspace profile about his height changed to 2′6 after the movie debuted. Don’t ask me whats that in metres cause I’ve got no clue. I am guessing its roughly half his height.
Though we see the last of Lily when she boarded a different helicopter from the group, the fate of Lily is most probably dead as 1) she was mentioned in the last part by Rob as one of his dead friends. 2) Further evidence is heard after Rob’s helicopter crashed, you can hear on the radio “Helicopters: All down. 15 minutes until hammer down. Sirens will sound 2 minutes out.”

This is the latest picture shown on the website. What do you make of it? I would think that the monster just ate up some huge ass whales for breakfast.

Heath Ledger star of Casanova, the upcoming Dark Knight and most popularly the gay cowboy from Brokeback Mountain was found dead in his apartment. He was only 28. Cause of death is currently unknown. This probably will probably give the movie The Dark Knight some dark publicity.
Here it finally is, the heavily hyped movie of 2008. For the people living in Singapore, you may not have felt the online heat of this movie but in USA, the popularity soared over the Internet. This was due to a smart move brought by JJ. Abrams who debuted a small footage of the movie during the pre-screening of Transformers. The apparent lack of title sparked the public interest, searches for the unknown movie skyrocketed and it gained a huge avid group of fans who tracked every progress of the movie religiously. Enough of side tracking! Heres the juice!
The uniqueness of this film is in its directing style. The camera’s point of view is from the frantic protagonists of the movie, similarly to how documentaries are being filmed. Though many people have expressed their strong dislike for the jerkiness that caused them massive giddiness and headache. I felt the handy cam filming was essential to how the movie was meant to be felt like, from the main characters point of view and in that point it succeeded. It made the movie experience unique, different and extremely realistic.
Another unique trait of the movie is in the mystery behind and the clues left for you to find out. One can’t watch the movie once and expect to claim themselves master of the movie. There are many things you do not know and have to figure it out yourself, like where the monster came from? Did Lily die? You have to see, evaluate and come to your own conclusion as it isn’t like other typical movies where the plot is laid out flat for your pleasurable viewing.
The movie flows along well, though I felt the beginning was pretty draggy, it may have been important for us to build rapport with the cast. The movie is kept at full pumped adrenaline with action and mayhem following after the slow start, the handy cam helped infinitely many tense and exciting moments keeping me sitting tightly in my seat right till the end. Cinematography and graphics was beautiful, New York City’s destruction was shown in such realism. The power of technology just surprises me till no end. The movie has its funny moments with the main documenter playing the ugly but funny guy with his cowardly and witty comments he makes along the way.
On to the vices of the movie, yes vices! Undeniably, there are some. While I enjoyed most of the DIY clues, the ending felt too abrupt for me. Ok I am empty of all bad points. Change “vices” to “vice”!
Advice for all future viewers of the movie, keep vigilant about the clues lying around as events aren’t laid out point blank for you! No laziness!
My Rating! 8.5 clovers out of 10! 8.5/10!

The title pretty much says everything, his model girlfriend is pregnant with his child. When his baby sees the world for the first time, he is gonna be in half the state his father usually is in, half naked. I mean isn’t he always prancing around half naked, I hardly remember him with any shirt on.

Show Biz Update
HSM3 is ON
High School Musical 3 has been green lighted and all the stars would be coming back after much spectacle if Zac Efron was going come back. This time it is going for a “turning point in the group’s lives as they face the prospect of being separated when they go into different colleges”. Hopefully it wasn’t as immensely disappointing as HSM2 which was pretty damn cheesey and included an overdose of bush beating.
2 Parts, more money? OF COURSE
The movie for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows may be in 2 parts as they feel it needs to be split to fit the true storyline of the marvel JK Rowling created. I may have exaggerated it a bit but thats what they generally meant. Or it could be they just wanna rip off the money off tons of dumbasses.
