For the first time, the 2 popular martial arts stars would be uniting for a Hollywood film. Right now, the hype for this movie is extremely big and hopefully it would be able to fill the huge ass boots the hype has made.

Synopsis: A discovery made by a kung fu obsessed American teen sends him on an adventure to China, where he joins up with a band of martial arts warriors in order to free the imprisoned Monkey King.

I thought the movie would have been great if the “went back in time” thingy was left out. I concur the “stupid american kid” was added for more comic relief to help Jackie Chan. Since Jet Li is all stony and all.

Some of you may recognize Liu Yifei from the Hong Kong drama series, Legend of the Condor Heroes where she played the lead character Xiao Longniu (I think thats the hanipinyin for Dragon Lady). She’s kinda pretty and if she is lucky, this movie would propoel to popularity like what Crouching Tigger Hidden Dragon did to Zhang Ziyi.
